With the help of my genetic results, she hit the nail on the head. After genetic testing(I highly recommend), my doctor decided that Buspar would be best for me. It took me a good 2 months to detox off of Zoloft and I was TERRIFIED that nothing would work for me and also scared to begin a new medication after having such a hard time with an SSRI. I was put on Zoloft by urgent care and had a severe adverse reaction giving me all of the black box label symptoms. As a teacher living in Texas, I sought out anxiety medication after the tragic events in Uvalde that triggered severe panic attacks that left me unable to participate in normal life(I’m a mom of a 3 and 5 year old).
